About ProteinCrafted

Hi, I'm Justin.

I was raised in New York, then headed west for college at Arizona State University and never really left.

Over the years, cooking became more than something I did casually, especially once I started paying closer attention to how much protein I was eating and how I wanted my meals to be structured.

These days, most of what I eat is very high in protein, low in carbs, and built around simple foods I genuinely like: meat, eggs, Greek yogurt, kefir, cheese, vegetables, berries, avocado, nuts, and similar staples. I'm not especially interested in recipes that rely on a long list of specialty products or try to force extra protein into foods where it doesn't belong. I'd rather make meals that are naturally protein-heavy, satisfying, and easy enough to cook regularly.

That approach is what led me to create ProteinCrafted.

The site grew out of a simple need I kept running into myself: finding meals with meaningful amounts of protein that still felt like normal, enjoyable food. ProteinCrafted is where I'm building the kind of recipe collection I wanted to have on hand: straightforward ingredients, clear nutrition information, practical meal ideas, and enough variety to keep high-protein eating from becoming repetitive.

Most recipes also get an unofficial review from my wife and two kids, so I get plenty of feedback before deciding something is worth making again.

Away from the kitchen, I spend a fair amount of time at the movies. That habit started back in New York and has followed me all the way to Arizona.

If there's a recipe you'd like to see, a question about something on the site, or just a suggestion for ProteinCrafted, feel free to find me on Facebook, or get in touch.
